About
My name is David, and I am currently a graduate student in the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in Catonsville, MD. I am also a computer scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, working with the Community Coordinated Modeling Center.
At work, I am responsible for creating 3D visualization tools for space weather simulation data. This includes creating pictures, animations, and analysis tools.
At school, I am interested in learning more about the current techniques in visualizing time-varying vector fields, performing efficient and targeted feature detection and extraction using critical points, and applying various photography and motion effects to aid the interpretation of time-varying visualizations.
